Carmen was born in Singapore and raised in the bustling city of Hong Kong. She pursued her studies in filmmaking at the University of Melbourne with a keen interest in understanding the intricacies of the art form. She infuses her films with a blend of culturally diverse perspectives, creating narratives that resonate with audiences on a global scale.

In 2022, her film "The Enlightenment of Old Chap" was awarded the title of Best Medium-Length Film at

the Lonely Wolf International Film Festival in London.

 

The following year, her film "Liminal" was showcased at the esteemed Golden Harvest Award held in Taiwan. Carmen's body of work covers a wide array of themes, revealing her versatility and distinctive storytelling perspective.
